Thru beam photoeyes utilize a separate transmitter and receiver that are mounted opposite each other.
The transmitter emits an infrared beam of light detected by the receiver. If the light beam is blocked by an obstruction, the transmitter signals to operator controls to stop and/or reverse the operation of a gate or door to prevent vehicle damage or personal injury.
