Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of total customer service including following up on sales leads, product recommendations, customer quotations, sales order entry, production planning, on-time delivery coordination, and customer invoicing using the company ERP system.
  • Responsible for updating the customer relationship management (CRM) software program with all customer and marketing contact information.
  • Responsible for initiating product non-conformance process in coordination with company quality system.
  • Responsible for interfacing between outside sales team and the plant to make sure that all customer needs are being met

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Associates degree in business discipline; Bachelor degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience in an office environment
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask
  • Customer service experience is a plus but not a requirement

EMX Industries, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of access control and specialty industrial sensors used in a wide variety of applications. We specialize in photoelectric and vehicle detection sensors for automatic gate and door operators, parking and security markets. We provide high performance color, luminescence and opacity sensors for factory automation and process control. EMX sensor solutions are application driven and we are always looking for opportunities to develop a customized sensor for OEM applications. 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow written electronic test procedures to confirm circuit boards are functioning as designed
  • Perform visual inspection of surface mount (SMT) and plated through hole (PTH) processed circuit boards
  • Troubleshoot circuit boards that do not pass electronic tests and make any necessary repairs
  • Assisting the plant manager on the manufacturing floor to provide technical or production support on an as needed basis

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Able to read electronic circuit schematics, troubleshoot problems to component level
  • Excellent plated through hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) soldering skills
  • Able to identify electronic components and polarity markings
  • Be familiar with IPC-A610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies standard, or able to read and understand the principles as outlined in the desk reference
  • Able to perform visual inspection using lenses and microscopes
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in the electronics field
  • Associates degree in electronics technology a plus but not a requirement

 Summary:

EMX Industries Inc. is one of the world’s leading innovators of specialty sensors in the factory and process automation markets. This person will be responsible for picking and packing of customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This is an entry level position with no prior experience necessary. The highest performing employees in this area could have an opportunity to become a team leader in the Shipping and Receiving department or can learn basic electronics manufacturing skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions in preparing customer orders for shipment
  • Use the company ERP system (NetSuite) to process customer orders
  • Pick and package customer orders and prepare them for shipment
  • Label & package finished electronic sensors
  • Use power hand tools required for the job

Qualifications/Skills Requirements:

  • Prior shipping and receiving experience would be advantageous but not required
  • Must be able to focus on detail-oriented work for long periods of time 
  • High energy approach to work

Responsibilities:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions in the assembly of electronic sensors
  • Assemble electronic circuit boards in the plated through hole department

  • Use hand tools required for the job
